Vì vậy việc biên soạn một cuốn từ điển Anh -Việt trong lĩnh vực lâm nghiệp là rất cần thiết góp phần phục vụ việc đào tạo và phát triển Lâm nghiệp ở nước ta. Cuốn từ điển Lâm nghiệp Anh-Việt này cuốn từ điển song ngữ đầu tiên và đầy đủ nhất về lĩnh vực lâm nghiệp ở Viêt Nam, nó được xây dựng dựa vào cuốn từ điển lâm nghiệp của Hội khoa học Lâm nghiệp Hoa kỳ, do một nhóm các nhà khoa học và chuyên gia thuộc Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp Việt Nam, Viện Khoa học Lâm nghiệp Việt Nam và Tổ chức hợp tác kỹ thuật Cộng Hòa Liên bang Đức biên soạn. Therefore, compilation of an English-Vietnamese dictionary for forestry sector is essential for training and development of forestry in Vietnam. This bilingual English-Vietnamese dictionary is complied mainly from the Dictionary of Forestry of Society of American Foresters, by a group of scientists and experts of Vietnam Forestry University, Forest Science Institute of Vietnam, and German Technical Cooperation. This is the first and most comprehensive English-Vietnamese dictionary on forestry with nearly 10,000 technical terms; we highly recommend this dictionary to researchers and students for educational purpose.
