WARM UP (5 mins) Guessing game: - T. writes a sentence with a gap: Ii is ... - T.asks sts to complete it with a time on a piece of paper and keep it secrete. - T. calls one st to the front of the class and the other sts must ask questions to guess the time. The student who guesses correctly is the next one up. E.g: Is it half past eight? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t. Teacher and students’activites III. NEW LESSON (35minutes) Step 1 : Presentation : Activity1: Pre teach ( explain) Content 1. Vocabulary - do my homework : làm bài tập về nhà ( picture ) Check voc : Slap the board. Play games Do my homework Get dressed - play games : chơi trò chơi Go to school Have breakfast Wash my face 2. Reading Activity 2. Presentation text : A1. P52 - T. sets the scene: This is Nga. She is in grade 6. She is telling us about things she does every morning. Let‘s read the text about Nga . - Listen and repeat. - Ss practice saying the dialogue (open pairs then close pairs). Activity3: Comprehension questions : - Ask students to read the questions aloud (one by one). - Ask Ss to work in pairs to find out the answers of these questions. - Give feedback. - Ask students to work in open pairs and then close pairs to practice asking and answering the questions. Model Sentences: - Elicit from the students to give the model sentences. - Ask Ss to read the model sentences. => Concept checking:Meaning, form, use, pronunciation. Step 2 : Practice : Activity1: Substitution Drill - Teacher give a cue and says the full sentence with “I” and ask sts to say the sentence with “she”. Teacher: Every day, I get up at six I brush my teeth I wash my face I get dressed I have breakfast Answer: a. Every day Nga gets up at 6 b. She goes to school. c. She plays games. d. Questionnaire: - Ask sts to copy the table. - Ask sts to work in groups of 3. - Sts interview each other and fill in the form. Eg: What time do you get up? I get up at half past five.
