They’ll use the language to describe the pictures and make requests and responses with Do/ Would you mind …? B. Materials: Pictures, OHP, transparencies, word cues, Work arrangements: Individuals, pairs, groups, T-WC Anticipated problems: _ing and _ed participles, Do you mind +V?/ Would you mind + V_ed? C. Procedure I. Warmer Finding your friends Give ss some wordcards, ask them to find their _ing or _ed friends II. Checking the old lesson III. New lesson  Presentation 1 1. _ing participles Picture presentation Ask ss to look at the picture. How many people are there? What are they doing? Ss work individually, pair and compare Who’s the boy under the tree? What is he doing? Who is the man? What is he doing? Concept check: meaning Use: present participle clauses beginning with a gerund (V_ing) are used to modifier the preceding nouns. The present participle clauses (_ing participles) have an active meaning  Practice Ask ss to look at the picture and describe the people and the activities, using the present participle (non-finite clauses) 2. _ed particiles Kim’s game What are there in the picture? Work individually, pair and compare, T gets feedback Matching Ask ss to match the things in the picture with the phrases describing them.
