Aim: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to listen and read for specific information about a special day then practice listening and speaking with the lexical items related to the topic "My New School". Aim: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to: - Pronouce correctly the sounds /əu / and / ʌ/ in isolation and in context; Use the combinations: to study, to have, to do, to play + Noun. - Improve their listening skill, wrting skill and pronunciation B. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: School lexical items - Grammar: The simple present, the present progressive The combinations: to study, to have, to do, to play + Noun. C. Skills: Communicative approach. II. Preparation: A. Teacher:- Text book / Board, chalk,A cassette and an audio compact disk. B. Students: homework, textbook… III. Anticipated problems: Students may get confused when practising the sound /əu / and / ʌ/. V. Procedure 4 1. Warmer: Greeting./ Checking attendance./Asking for the teaching date. 2. B. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: School lexical items - Grammar: The simple present, the present progressive C. Skills: Communicative approach. II. Preparation: A. Teacher: : - Text book / A cassette and an audio compact disk. B. Students: homework, textbook… III. Anticipated problems: The lesson may take time. IV. Anticipated problems: Students may find it difficult to use English to express their idea. IV. Procedure Warmer: Greeting./ Checking attendance./Asking for the teaching date. 1. Check up: - Teacher gets 2 students to talk about what he/she does everyday and what he/she is doing now in front of the class. - Teacher makes remarks and give the two students marks. Students: homework, textbook… III. Anticipated problems: Weak students may find it difficult to read and understand the text. IV. Procedure 1. Pre – reading * Pre-teach the vocabulary I. Look at the three pictures then give their ideas about the schools in the pictures./-Encourage Ss to give as many ideas as possible. Eg:-In PLC Sydney school, I can see some girls are practicing doing something. So I think it is a comfortable school. It is a very good school. II. While - Reading -Let Ss read the three passages to check their ideas. T sets a time limit to ensure Ss read quickly for information 1. Ex1. 2. Ex2. Aim: By the end of the lesson students will be able to: - Listen to get information about school activities. - Write a webpage for their school, using correct punctuation B. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: School lexical items - Grammar: The simple present, the present progressive C. Skills: Practise listening and writing skills. II. Preparation: A. Teacher:- Text book / Board, chalk,A cassette and an audio compact disk. B. Students: homework, textbook… III. Anticipated problems: It is rather difficult for Ss to write in good punctuation. 13 IV. Procedure 1. Warmer : Greeting./ Checking attendance./ Asking for the teaching date. 2. Check up - “ Which school do you like in 3 school of previous lesson And Why ”. - check vocabs 3. New lesson I. Listening. -Ask Ss to refer back to the reading: PLC Sydney. Introduce Susie Brewer- a student at PLC Sydney. 1. Listen and choose the correct answers. 1. Susie ____being at a girl’s school. Writing tip. *Capital letters for: starting sentences, names, days and months, the pronoun I and places. *Commas to separate long sentences and lists of things. *Full stops, question marks or exclaimation marks: put at the end of the sentences. 2.
