Should Students Be Allowed To Grade Their
Teachers
Students are the only true wealth of a nation and their education is the sociomoral responsibility of the country. To be educated is both their right as well as
duty. From the gurukuls to the modern day schools, teaching and learning
methodologies have taken a quantum leap. It is debated whether a system of
grading of teachers by students should be introduced in schools to improve the
learning and teaching environment.
If the system of grading of teachers by the school students is introduced, the
teachers and the administration of the school will come to know about the
performance of the teachers. It will give them an insight into the minds of the
students and show whether the teachers are successful in getting their lessons
understood by the students. It will evaluate whether the class atmosphere is
conducive to aid their learning. It will measure the satisfaction level of the
students. It will also encourage the good teachers to continue their efforts and
motivate themselves.
But are the school kids mature enough to grade their teachers? Kids are young
and inexperienced. They may not be able to judge correctly whether a certain
teacher is good for them or not. Their parameters of grading may be too shallow.
They may like or dislike their teachers depending upon the amount of homework
he/she gives, the easiness of his tests, the leniency of the marking, their
appearance, temper and such other things that appeal to the students and make
the teacher a “favorite” among kids but do not generally reveal his effectiveness.
It may also pave the way for staffroom politics and thus render the system
useless. Also it may lead to students being penalized for having given bad grades
to some teacher. They may have to face the consequences for having dared to
give low grades.
Thus the students, parents and the school head should collectively and responsibly
grade the teachers in a fair way. It is a promising concept and will yield
surprisingly good results if refined and applied with the right conditions as
proposed above. The future of the country depends upon how well the students are
nurtured when they are in their formative years. The system of grading of teachers
may prove to be a boon for the institutions who aim to nurture the “hope of
tomorrow”.
the solutions the high rate of unemployment in modern
society nowadays
Unemployment is a serious problem, governments in all countries should solve it
as soon as possible because unemployment is occurring more and more all over the
world. There are many causes of unemployment. The first cause is the changes of
careers from traditional careers into modern careers using all types of machines
instead of human labor is increasing yearly to save time and money. For example,
in the past time if a factory wanted to operate it needed a lot of workers; but today
it just needs an engineer to control machines. The lack of skill and ability is
another cause of unemployment. An unskilled labor force cannot be successful in
doing any work. If a chance of employment is created, only the skilled laborers can
also adapt to the new surroundings.
In Viet Nam, the government should give some effective solutions such as
vocational guidance, vocational training, labour export…First of all, with young
laborers who don’t have a lot of knowledge, the government can open career
schools and encourage them to learn a career and after that they will be introduced
to some companies or factories to do work. And one important thing is vocational
training in the high school curriculum. It’s necessary to teach it as a formal subject.
The students should be taught the knowledge and skills at school so that after
leaving school they can find a job suited to their ability and their family’s
condition. In addition, in recent years labor export solved a difficult problem for
economies, laborers go abroad to do work at factories or large enterprises in
Korea, Malaysia, or Taiwan….They will send the money for their family, this way
it helps them have a job with a high salary and get over unemployment. Besides,
the government should support capital for the poor or the jobless to raise pigs,
chickens, ox or start a business. And to ensure capital safely it is necessary to guide
them in work. The government can open classes to teach essential technology for
them. Unemployment is a social problem. Many other social problems are born
from it. People who are out of work more easily become involved in social evils
such as drug addiction, gambling, theft… They will be a financial burden for
country, family, society.
To sum up, I hope these solutions can decrease the unemployment rate in
part, but the most important part is the attitude of the employee who is taking part
in manufacturing. They must try to change and to get used to new technology and
modern life. Preparing some job skills carefully and the ability to adapt to new
technologies easily will help them.
The computer is the changing our way of life
Today computers uses can be traced down to every aspect of life. They are a tool,
and much like any tool, simplify the things we do. The amazing thing about
computers is that they are not just used for one thing; computers affect the way we
work, write, play, and communicate.
Computers can easily allow us to write a story, create a database, play a game of
chess, or send instant messages and email to friends.
Computers simplification of work has quite a few advantages, namely for it's
purpose of writing. Computers allow us to, in most cases write much faster than
ever before. They provide us with a thesaurus, dictionary, and spellchecker all in
one, something that saves a lot of time for writers. Also, typing in general is
quicker than handwriting a paper. After about a year of experience most people can
type quickly and efficiently. Additionally, mistakes don't have to be crossed out.
With computers we can simply hit the backspace. Then, if you are un-organized
and happen to put some things in the wrong order, instead of re-writing or drawing
in an arrow, you could just cut and paste. But simplification of writing on
computers isn't a perfect. While I tend to favor computers use for writing, they
generally degrade our grammar. This is because we get so used to having it fixed
for us, that we don't learn from our mistakes. I still remember once seeing one of
my friends handwrite a paper and accidentally write the word "u instead of "you.
Computers in the workplace are generally good. They allow first for the easy
writing mentioned above, which is key to any business; as time is money. But they
also have good programs that allow workers to perform such tasks as: databases,
advertisement creation, digital video editing, sound and music editing, commercial
creation, and much more. But computers are an expensive luxury for big
businesses.
learning is lifelong process
lifelong process is a an education process throughout one’s life that is based on the
changing needs to acquire knowledge, skills, experience, to increase or change
one’s qualifications in accordance with the requirements of the labour market, or
one’s interests or needs. Lifelong learning combines non-formal learning with
formal education and develops innate skills along with new competencies.
Knowledge, skills and work competencies must be provided to the unemployed,
job seekers, employees and beginner entrepreneurs, primarily at working age.
Competencies for civic participation and personal development must be ensured
for all citizens of Latvia, regardless of their gender, age or education, including the
unemployed, job seekers, employees and beginner entrepreneurs, but primarily to
social exclusion risk groups, such as pre-retirement age people, adults with no
primary and secondary education, individuals with low basic skills (ICT,
languages, etc.).
Recognition of knowledge and skills acquired outside the formal education system
Each person has his own lifetime ‘baggage’ of accumulated knowledge and skills.
Its accumulation paths are different – one can study at general or vocational
education institutions or higher education institutions, or acquire knowledge and
skills in a non-formal way, learn from experience, learn by doing, or learn from
others outside the program.
The knowledge and skills acquired during one’s lifetime regardless of how they
were acquired are equally important and serve as the basis for the individual’s
growth and development. Therefore, the education system provides a mechanism
for the recognition of knowledge and skills acquired outside the formal education
system, thereby increasing personal career development and mobility
opportunities, while saving the individual’s time and financial resources.
advertising on television is beneficial to viewers
It is common knowledge that advertising on TV which appeared long long ago is
quite
beneficial
to
viewers.
In the first place, it provides detailed information about various products to
customers in the easiest way to remember. It can'n be denied that consumers is
very confused at choosing models or labels when they only rely on short
information on leaflets...In contrast, advertising on TV supplies sufficient usages
so that people can quickly make decision whether to buy or not a product.
Moreover, these usages are accompanied with motion picture and obvious
examples. Consequently, it is simple for people to conceive of function of
products.
Secondly, advertising on TV is considered as a tool to entertain. Generally, after
working hard, people will listen to music or watch TV. These are the best way to
relax. Instead of watching films, so many people watch advertisement programs. It
helps them not only get information but also enjoy their rest time.
After all, advertising on TV is perfect choice of intelligent people when they want
to know apparently about products before they buy them.
should university students be encouraged to take parttime jobs
Most students choose to work part time during university studies. It is controversial
issue whether taking an after-school work is a curse or a blessing.
Many parents and teachers frown upon the idea of students working part-time.
Their line of reasoning appears to be that it is bound to distract student’s attention
away from their study, and some students even play truant, which may hurt their
academic performance. Furthermore, due to lacking life experience, they hard to
differentiate the good from the bad and may come under the influence of bad
people. This, even worse, drives them to embark on criminal world.
On the other hand, undoubtedly, taking a part-time job poses a source of benefits.
Thanks to earning their own money, students may provide partly for their demand,
relieving financial burden of their families. Moreover, when involving in
competitive work environment, working with sweat and tears and reaching their
goals, students can recognize their own values and prove that they are capable
people, which enables them to be more confident in themselves. With joining in
an after-school work, students might enjoy a chance to apply actively theoretical
knowledge into practice. As a result, they are very likely to get deeper insight into
what they have learned in classes and books.
From my point of view, regardless of its cons, working part-time should be
encouraged. There is a fact that parents and teachers by no means can shelter their
children throughout their life from realities of life. Taking part-time jobs with
support from parents and the school to keep youngster on right track will bestow
upon them a great chance to experience and explore the world around. After that,
they may become more mature and ready to struggle with their latter lives.
the development of tourism in vietnam
Tourism is increasingly important in Vietnam. For backpackers, culture
and nature lovers, beach-lovers and veterans touring the country for a long time,
Vietnam has emerged itself as a new tourist destination in Southeast Asia and on is
now on lists in magazines worldwide. Hotel investors especially the potential of
the 3000-kilometer-long coast line and the big cities. The tourism offer has been
increasingly diversified. Local and international tour operators offer tours to ethnic
minority groups, walking and bicycle tours, kayak trips and multi-country trips in
particular in connection with neighboring Cambodia, Laos and Thailand. In
addition, thanks to the lift of several movement regulations, foreign tourists have
been able to travel freely in the country since 1997.
The economy of Vietnam has transformed from an agrarian to a service economy.
More than a third of gross domestic product is generated by services, which
include the hotel and catering industry and transportation. The manufacturing and
construction (28 percent), agriculture and fisheries (20 percent) and mining (10
percent) have much smaller shares.[5]
Meanwhile, tourism contributes 4.5 percent to gross domestic product (as of 2007).
More and more foreign direct investment has been focused on tourism. After the
heavy industry and urban development, most foreign investment has been
concentrated in tourism, especially in hotel projects .[6]
Vietnam government has taken many measures for promotion of tourism. Ministry
of tourism provided incentives for converting normal hotels in luxury. Also an
aggressive promotion of Vietnam tourism run on magazines and TV channels.

which do you thinhk is more valuable –health or wealth
Some people believed that health is more important than money, I also have the
same concept as them. Money cannot buy health despite having the ability to
acquire the best medical system however; money is earned through hard work. If
our health is affected, how would we be able to concentrate on our work to bring
back the bacon home? Therefore is it vital that we remain healthy so that we can
focus
on
our
work
to
put
food
on
the
table.
Health can also bring joy in our life for an example, imagine that you were
overseas doing all sort of crazy thing while you being healthy but all of the sudden
you fell ill not being able to spend your last few day in this wonderful trip
. Wealth is on the wish list for many people through out the world but having a
healthy longevity is their top wish. To grow to a ripe old age to see your family
tree
grew
is
a
memorable
memory.
Money is also known as the source of evil, it can cause dispute among family
member when a sum of money is left behind without a will. Unlike money, it can
do quite the opposite effect when a love one is gravely ill family member instead
of quarrelling over the asset instead show love, concern finally yet importantly
Care. Our ancestor being able to live to 60 years old is consider a sage and above
all
better
than
being
wealthy.
Nowadays there a rapid growth of competition in the market as the world is
constantly changing thus people are fighting to keep their jobs and solve their
bread and butter issue forgetting how important their health in a stressful
environment. Being Overworked can lead to health problem such as fatigue,
increase chance of having hypertension and other health problems. But there are
some health problem that is incurable take Human immunodeficiency Virus(HIV)
despite nation pouring money into research it have yet find a cure. Money can be
use for one personal lifestyle such as building a mansion with a swimming pool but
if one is in poor health how would he be able to use it?
Therefore, I conclude that health is more important than money although money
can bring joy to some people
the reason for increasing rate of young
modern society nowadays
criminals in
Since 2008, many countries have been in economy recession, which leads to a
large number of unemployment among young people. Either individuals or society
as a whole has suffered tragic trouble arisen by unemployment. This essay will
analyze this big headache and offer some possible solutions to for jobless young
people.
First, jobless make young people face survival trouble because they may not have
sufficient savings and can not draw salaries monthly. Their parents or government
are forced to bear extra burdens maintaining their basic living requirements.
Second, some young jobless may commit in order to fill their stomachs. When
young people lose their jobs, it is high probability they will exploit any opportunity
to earn money. Consequently, they may ignore laws and regulations, which leads
to penalties by laws and criticisms from society. The whole society will become
turmoil and economy recovery will become remote.
Facing unavoidable troubles because of unemployment among young generation,
government should firstly assist young people to have a job. A real job can reduce
pressure on a family and society. Government can use tax leverage, interest means
to help young people create business opportunities and self employment. Young
people can go back campus to learn new knowledge preparing for economy
recovery. Also, young people can work abroad if they are wanted. That will form a
good circle benefiting more young people have their jobs and eliminate troubles
due to unemployment.
In conclusion, unemployment can bring troubles to victims, unemployed young
people themselves, and society because young jobless will focus on money for
their hungry stomachs, forgetting ethic and laws. Therefore government and
jobless young man should work hard together to create jobs opportunities and
supportive environment, which will finally relieve employment pressure.
what can be done to protect and preserve endangerd
animals?
Many animals are becoming endangered or extinct as a result of human activities
which create pollution, reduce habitat, cut into wildlife corridors, pollute their
habitat, reduce food supplies and from poaching and illegal hunting. Losing key
species can mean entire food chains are disrupted, causing some species to overbreed while others die out. Pollination can also be affected and, without seceding
generations of plants, where would any of us be? There are a number of ways that
every individual can take action to help endangered animals and to help reduce
extinction events.
Help threatened plants and animals survive by protecting their habitats
permanently in national parks, nature reserves or wilderness areas. There they can
live without too much interference from humans. It is also important to protect
habitats outside reserves such as on farms and along roadsides.
Visit a nearby national park or nature reserve. Some national parks have special
guided tours and walks for kids. Talk to the rangers to find out whether there are
any threatened species and how they are being protected. You and your friends
might be able to help the rangers in their conservation work.
Make sure you obey the wildlife code when you visit a national park: follow fire
regulations; leave your pets at home; leave flowers, birds’ eggs, logs and bush
rocks where you find them; put your rubbish in a bin or, better still, take it home.
Encourage your friends, family and acquaintances who live on a farm or who own
large tracts of land to keep patches of bush as wildlife habitats and to leave old
trees standing, especially those with hollows suitable for nesting.
Join a wildlife preservation group. Some areas have groups which look after local
lands and nature reserves. They do this by removing weeds and planting local
native species in their place. You could join one of these groups, or even start a
new one with your parents and friends. Ask your local parks authority or council
for information.

making a decision on one’s first job is difficult
Changing career isn't just one single enormous decision. If you can see it
as a process rather than one event and break it down into a series of
smaller step-by-step decisions you'll find it less scary - and you'll still
get there. Take the first step and approach each decision as it arises,
considering it on its merits and making it at the right time (and not
before). That way, you minimise the perceived risk at each stage. For
example:
Decide to look for a job - then do it.
Decide to apply for a job - then do it. Don't start thinking about who will
look after the cat at this stage. It's amazing how problems can be
overcome when the time comes.
If you get an interview, go for it. Don't decide in advance that you don't
want the job. See how it goes!
If you are offered the job, you may decide not to take it. Fair enough. An
interview is a two-way process, after all, and you will have gained
experience.
We all make decisions in different ways. The trick is to make a balanced
decision, using both your head and your heart. A beautifully logical
decision can be scuppered because your heart isn't in it and an impulsive
decision could backfire if it hasn't been properly thought through. If you
tend to be impulsive, back your decision up with one of the ‘head'
decision-making methods (see below). If you're inclined to be analytical,
try one of the ‘heart' decision-making methods.
why people keep pets in home
Nowadays the most part of people keeps a pet at home.
According to the common thought, people decide to keep pets for many reasons.
Firstly, a lot of old people keeps a pet at home to feel less lonely and to have a
companion in their everyday life. Pets keeps occupied a lot of time of their days,
doing things such as taking the pet out for a walk or play with them. Moreover,
families too choose to have a pet in their lives for many reasons, for instance
having their baby feel a lot more confindent with animals.
As I see it, having a pet at home is a good thing to do. Nevertheless, often having a
pet means having a lot of tasks because you have to take care of them very well.
Thus, you will wake up in the early morning to take them out for a walk, or to calm
them down when they are afraid of something. However, if you love them, there
will
be
no
problems.
A lot of people keep a pet for these reasons, and they are surely doing well. Pets
are humans' best friend, and thus will be forever.
