It is widely accepted that university should not provide theoretical knowledge, but to give practical training benefit to society. I believe that this contention makes sense for following reasons, namely development employment opportunities and relevant between theoretical knowledge and practical trainings. Firstly, most of people think that learning at university is not only to acquire knowledge but is is also to prepair for their career. Nowadays, the job market is very competitive. Thus, people who prepare better will have more chances to apply for a job they want. At university, students should be provided with much practical knowledge so that they can fit in their job fields. When steping out of their university, the students must face many problems. They require the students to have many practical experience to slove. In addition, if the students have many practical training benefit to society, they will give them a clearer perspective of the job what they are going to work after graduating from the institute. For these reason, pratical training is really necessary. Secondly, practical trainings are based on theoretical knowledge. If student do not learn professional theoretical knowledge, they can not enough capable of facing practical training ‘s requirement. They just depend on the basic academic knowledge that they studied in the high school to deal with problems. In fact, they will overcome difficulty in progressing real practical training. Theoretical knowledge acts as a platform for students to get practical experience. Hence, practical trainings and theoretical studies are closely related. To sum up, I have to admit that theoretical knowledge and pratical training benefit to society is indispensable to every student who attend to universities. Theoretical knowledge lays the foundation for practical training. On the other hand, practical training is also integral to use theoretical knowledge learned. When those two things are together provided, they are the best thing that the students are learnt in their university. Hence, I hope that every university will be provide both theoretical knowledge and many practical trainings for their student in near future. TOPIC 3: the idea of going overseas for university study is an exciting prospect for many people.But while it may offer some advantages, it is probable better to stay at home because of the difficulties a student inevitablely encounters living and studying in a different culture. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It can be said that going overseas for university has become a popular trend nowadays. For some people, studying abroad is an exciting prospect. The first reason is that going oversea is one of wonderful opportunities to study foreign languages. Although a person can study a foreign language in his or her country, going abroad is better for students to improve all of their language skills such as listening and speaking. It is the best way to learn foreign language by nature. Moreover, having used the foreign languages during a period of time offers a distinct advantage when one is going to applying for jobs that requires the language. Sometimes, some people think that barrier languages has also become disadvantage when going abroad. But I think if someone is obligated speaking foreign language to communicate with other people, they must try their best to speak for everyone to understand them. As a result, they can speak a foreign language that they don’t know. In my view, this is a good thing to try. Another reason is that it make people become more independent, more responsible and know how to tackle new challenges. When living far away from home without relying on family, friends, students must be learn how to take care of themselves and search for everything around them. This is not only benefits for now but also for long term. It make them realize a lot of things, especially money and time management.And this is also improve their soft skills such as sloving many problems in their life, treating people around them, standing on their own feet, how to adapt into new environment. Everything that you have when going oversea is useful for them in a long time. Beside these advantages, the disadvantage are inevitable. Firstly, studying abroad requires oversea students comprehend foreign languages in order to understand all lessons in their class. Secondly, the expense of international education is often more expensive than those of domestic education. Another problem is the need to adjust to other cultures which can lead to a culture shock or give the students difficulty in adjusting to the new environment.Because of these, it is easy to understand why some people prefer to study in a local university. In conclusion, it is clear that going overseas for studying brings both advantages and disadvantage to students. However, if the student have a chance for studying abroad and can overcome the difficulties, I make sure that it is the most interesting experience which they don’t want to miss. But if students think that studyting overseas offers their more disadvantages than advantage,going study in your country is good choice.Therefore, students should carefully consider before deciding whether study in a foreign country or not. TOPIC 9: Overpopulation of urban areas has led to numerous problems.Identify one or two serious ones and suggest ways that governments and individuals tackle these problem. For recently years, Overpopulation is a big problem not only in VietNam but also in the world. When the population is rapidly growing, many numerous problems are caused. It is possible that these problems can be able to tackle by both the government and individuals to get the best results. There are many problems caused by population growth. Firstly, Environmental pollution is one of serious damages caused by overpopulation. Immigrants from the rural areas to urban areas become more and more high increase significantly. The result is a large amount of garbage discharged.This leads to many health problems, illness such as allergies, pneumonia. Secondly, unemployment is the other consequence that caused by highly dense population. Those who unemployment will take desperate and turn to crime or drugs. That make social evils growing and difficult to control. Perhaps, other consequences of population growth do not show all such as the lack of land to live, decreasing quality of life, hunger and thirst,…Therefore, we must try to solve these problem by working together between the government and individuals. To the governments, they should reduce birth rates and control immigration. The laws prohibits more two children in a family should be strictly implemented. In addition, they should attempt to minimize the number of unemployed people that will not affect the country’s economy. It considers as a way to reduce the number of crime. Besides, opening many health care centre for people who are suffering from diseases caused by environmental contamination to not widely spread these contagious diseases. Furthermore, the governments should invest more in infrastructure in country areas to encourage people to live away from crowed cities.Also, it is essential that mass media should be upgraded to raise their public awareness of this matter. To individuals, they have the responsibility to obey all the government’s regulations and broaden their knowledge about overpopulation. Each citizen should lend their hand to help the authority control population boom, particularly in urban areas. To sum up, I think that overpopulation of urban areas bring about immense worries. But the problems can be addressed by link between the government and individuals. It is also the best way to slove overcrowed problem that most of countries face. TOPIC 10: Nowadays, environmental problems are too big to be managed by individuals person or individual country. In other words, it is an international problem.To what extent do you agree or disagree? Most people in the world are aware that the environment is a serious issues. Many people think that environmental problems are too big to managed by individuals person or individual country. It is an international problem. In my opinion, I partly agree and disagree with this statement. I believe that this contention makes sense for following reasons. There is no denying that individuals person and individual country have an influence of the environment. If every individual is aware of preserving his or her surroundings, it will contribute to reduce environmental pollution. Each of people can make great contributions to the protection of enviromental pollution such as reduce daily waste, use public transport for short distance travelling, save energy. Step by step, the enviroment will be significantly improved just only little things. However, one individual alone can’t help to eradicate these problems. Each of individual country also takes strictly measure to improve this situation. The number of laws to protect envirnment must be severely implemented. The governments must harshly punish people who destroy enviroment by cut the trees, hunting wild animals. In my opinion, the government and individual should join hand to save their surroundings. However, many problems like ozone depletion, radiation pollution, global climate and extinction of species too big to be solved by individual person and individual country. A single country cannot tackcle the problems which is seemed to be global issuses. It requires the cooperation of many country. There are a significant number of non-govermental organizations which have an aim to protect the ecological system in all over the world. Many presentations, conferences, international summits are also held to give the best solution for protecting enviroment. For sure when many country work together, the Earth will be more and more green. In conclusion, environmental problems should be handled by local and international as well as individual person. The hands of all people will keep the Earth to become green pearl of the universe. It should be remmember that the Earth is our home, so we must do anything to protect it. TOPIC 4: Because of the pressure of new subjects such as business studies, many schools have dropped sport or physical education (PE) from curriculum. How important is sport or PE in a young person’s education? Because of the pressure of new subject such as business studies, many school have dropped sport or physical education from curriculum. In my opinion, it is not wise to take this action. Because the sports and physical education give students many advantages. My opinion makes sense for following advantages. The primary advantage of sport and physical education is health promotion. Sport improves the skin and muscle, burns some calories, increases flexibility and reduces the risk diseases such as osteoporosis, heart disease, obesity. In recently years, many studies have shown that overweight children is increasing. As a result, they don’t take participate in any kind of physical activity. It can be said that schools is the best places where students get the motivation to initiate into sports. Many students never play sports because they hate them and it is not useful. But if sports are in curriculum, pupils will force to play. It helps students avoid obesis disease and stay healthy. Moreover, participating sports can helps students to develop sportman spirits. Team sports require all members in team must join hands together to win in games. In fact, the students who join in sports have better academic results because the sports is not only healthy physique but also joyful spirit. In addition, sports is one of the benefits when the students apply a study abroad scholarship. Thus, Playing sports is an opportunity for students to relieve stress after studying hard in class and win a sholarship if they want to go overseas. In conclusion, althought many school have dropped sports and physical education in curriculum because of the important business studies, I think it is necessary for every pupil to health promotion and develop their spirit. Knowledge and extracurricular activities such as sports will create a balance in the curriculum in the schools as well as help students develop both physically and intellectually by the most way. TOPIC 7: Many people judge success solely by money and material possesstions. However, success can be achieved or measured in others ways.Discuss. Most of people consider success as a target of their life. Many people judge success solely by money and material possesstions while the others think that there are many different way to measure success in life. I partly agree and disagree with this statement. I agree that money and material possesstions are a way to demonstrate whether you are success or not. But I do not agree that success is judge solely by these. There is no denying that you have money and you can buy any daily necessities in order to serve your family. Money represents not only wealthy person but also successful person. It can get by many ways such as do a job with high salary, inherit property from parents, win the lottery. No matter what do you do to have many money, it may be your success. But we cannot say that success is judge solely by money or material possesstions.Without money, you cannot buy anything to have a convenient life. However, the facts have shown that many people live without a redundance of financial support, they still have optimistic and happy. I think the people satisfied with their present life is their success and money is a tool which help them have a better life. I also totally agree that success can be achieved or measured in others ways. In terms of education, passing the exams, finishing a course, getting a good mark, getting a dgree or diplopma can be considered as success. These knowledge that people acquire in school can help them get a good job but it do not necessarily lead to wealthy people. Therefore, to many people, success what they achieved, not money they earn. Success can gain by many others way. For example, a volunteer worker help poor people, become a good mother of her children, raise a charity fund for orphaned children. Contributions to society, the useful jobs for life are regard as success.Therefore, success is anything in this life and there is no precise definition for success. In conclusion, there is no doubt that in today’s society people often regard success is to have many money and many possesstions. But in my opinion, success is not only judge by the means but also judge many different things. It can be simple things in present life. Conception of success makes people create their success. Therefore, measuring success might depend on an individual’s personal goals. TOPIC 5: In many countries, children are engaged in some kind of paid work. Some people regard this as completely wrong, While others considers it as valuable work experience, important for learning and taking responsibilities.Discuss. Therefore, they can be abused their labour and or even the worst things is to enter the world of criminals. At an early age, going to school and trying to study well are main their task. It also means that children may neglect the classroom and fail their examination if they are too fascinated by jobs.They also become so occupied with the benefits ahead of them like small salary and leave school. Moreover, childhood is the happinest time in anyone life. Instead of working. Children should spent their time playing with their friend, acquire knowledge in shool, observe everything around them. To sump up, I admit that there are many drawbacks and benefits in some paid work in when children works. But in my opinion, the advantage outweigh the disadvantage. Life will teach a lot of valuable lessons that children never learn school. But in order to restrict unnecessary risks, children who work must be have consent and supervision. TOPIC 6: Some people prefer to stay in the same job for the same company, but others prefer to change jobs frequently. Discuss Nowadays, choosing career is the top concerns of all people. Some people prefer to stay in the same company, whereas others prefer to change jobs frequently. In my essay, I will discuss both the pros and the cons of these views. There are many reasons for people prefer to change jobs frequently. First of all, There are many companies which don’t have a fair promotion system and reasonable welfare system.Therefore, many people think they cannot work in unfaily competitive environment and leave their jobs to change new job. Another second point is that people want to have many experiences different environment. Working in new environments, they will be acquainted with more and more colleagues and have broader view of work and personal resources as well as skills to draw on.In addition, when a person spent too long time for a job, he or she can get bored that make the quality of their work suffer. Moreover, staying in the same job for the same company help people have a stable income.So, I also believe that employers don’t tend to change their job because increase wages and promotion are often easier to attain by changing job. To sum up, changing job or staying job resemble a double-edged sword. My point of view is that people should change company in short time to make sure that they have a strong attachment with their job. TOPIC 8: Money cannot buy happiness? It is often claimed. But with money you can buy most of the things that are necessary for happiness: good food, accommodation, entertainment, travel, quality health care ? No wonder most people want to make as much money as possible. To what extent do you agree or disagree? In morden society, money is something that everyone needs to live. It is often claimed that money cannot buy happiness. But with money you can buy most of the things that are necessary for happiness. The question whether money can buy everything or not seems controversy. In my opinion, I total agree that money only is a part of happiness. There is no denying that money can buy most of the things that are necessary for happiness. You have many money and you can buy a lot of things to have convenient life. It is hard to live without any money. Money brings you good food, accommodation, entertainment, travel, quality health…It can be said that all of daily necessities can buy by money. Obviously, most of people will feel happy when they have a comfortable life and no need worry about means. Sometimes, without money can make people feel scared, inferior, insecure and depressed. Therefore, money is really necessary for everyone and offers human many happiness. That the reason why people want to make as much money as possible. However, there are many people who put a different meaning into the word “happiness. They see happiness in healthy, relationship with friends, colleagues or family members which is not purchased with money or materials . I think that some invisible things which is important for all people cannot buy by money. It cannot buy good relationships, cannot buy knowledge in your mind, cannot buy feeling of people. But all those things make people happy. Thus, money is a part of happiness and there are lots of things which are really more important than money. In conclusion, happiness means different things to different people. People who place high value on material life will regard money as their happiness.On the other hand, people who highly appreciate spirittal life will consider money as an integral to their happiness. It is much better when people know hơ to balance between earning money and keeping their mind life to save happiness.It is true value of the life.
