1 INTRODUCTION 1. General overview of the thesis “The development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate nowadays” is the scientific subject which the author has been interested in learning and approaching to research for many years. This is a new, independent, non-overlapping with the scientific works published in domestic and foreign. Along with author ideas and the orientation and enthusiastic comments of individuals, groups of scientists, the authors decided to choose this topic to research in the thesis, which it is useful for training, research and management of postgraduate. The thesis contribute to clarify some contents, characteristics and rules of development of creative ideas of postgraduate; analysing to clarify the status and pointing out the impact factors and requirements, propose system solutions to develop creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate. The contents posed and solved in the thesis is inherited selectively from the previous work of the scientists involved in the thesis. 2. Reasons for choosing thesis topic Nowaday, one of the best features of information society is the thinking ability, knowledge, human thoughts are making strong progress in the direction of "the organization, management, creativity and innovation", which based on the new, unique and usefull ideas. Accordingly, the development of creative idea on both aspects of theory and practice has become the dominant factor that controls and motivate the development of human life in modern society. Because the idea is both a development basis and a factor of production, most of the material and spirit products are made in this era which tend to crystallize and converge more and more knowledge and intellect in them, so the development of creative idea are high appreciate and promoted to the maximum extent. The development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate has played an important role in creating the new quality of thinking, intelligence, creativity both in theory and practice of military politics of fellows at the present and in the future. From there contributing to the successful implementation of the objectives, requirements, tasks doctoral training; increasing the quality of higher human resources on military social sciences and humanities 2 for the Vietnam’s Party and country, in-depth study Marxist Leninism science, Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and theory of Vietnam’s Party military guidelines. To be aware of this issue, the developing subjects frequently concern and attach great importance to developing creative ideas of fellows in learning and studying theories and has achieved some encouraging results. However, compared with the demands of practice, the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate has limitations of scientific content, novelty, unique and usefulness; the exploring and discovering new ideas of research, new approaches or perspectives, solutions is limited. There are overlaps of content and structure in scientific works of fellows that negatively affect the quality of training, scientific research. Especially in the current situation, when the process of international integration and globalization are taking place strongly together with the strong growth of the knowledge economy, the scientific revolution, and before the innovation requirements of the period of industrialization and modernization of Vietnam poses to the military social sciences and humanities should continue to explain, clarify the perspectives, objectives, tasks, force, power, protection method of the socialist republic of Vietnam; the content to build the national defense and national defense strategy, the people's war for national defense strategy; perspective, the motto of building Vietnam People's Army politically; supplementing, developing and perfecting the mechanism of military leading of Party in the new situation; political issues of foreign army. Therefore, the implementation of the research clarify the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate that is the basic to build the team of teachers, scientists and commanders. They have highly qualified astute theoretical thinking as well the ability to create new knowledge and apply to the activities of teaching, researching, leadership, management, command, education the officers; resolved properly and promptly demands from reality of military political activities and in our life; contributing to build the revolutionary, formal, elite and gradually modernized army, always strong in the new situation is an urgency problem. The author choose this topic for study in the 3 framework of specialized doctoral thesis of the dialectical materialism and historical materialism expertise. 3. Research purpose and tasks * Research purpose: improving quality and efficiency of developing the creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate, to meet the requirements to further improve the quality of training of military social sciences and humanities postgraduate in the new situation. * The tasks of the thesis: Synthesize typical scientific works related directly to the thesis. On that basis, generally evaluate research findings and identify the contents set out for the thesis to continue to resolve. - Clarify the nature and basic factors determining idea, creative idea; analyse the nature and the rule of the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate. - Assess the situation, reason, point out the effect and determine the requirement of developing the creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate. - Propose basic solutions for developing the creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate today. 4. Objects and scope of research * Objects of research: The development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate. * Scope of research: The thesis focuses on researching issues related to the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate from 2008 to present. (focus on postgraduates are officers in the army) 5. Theoretical, practical basis and research methods: * Theoretical basis of the thesis: is a viewpoint system of Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology; guidelines and policies of the Party, State, and army on building and developing officer resources, education and training; resolutions, directives and guidelines of the Party Committee and relevant scientific works. 4 * Practical basis of the thesis is the real situation of developing creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate through investigation data, studies, surveys of the author and the reported data, summary, etc. of the concerned agencies and units. * Research Methodology: The thesis uses a system of methodology of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, such as: approach to value, system - structure, analysis and synthesis, logical and historical, abstraction, and generalization methods. Combine with the methods of sociological investigation and consultancy with experts, etc. 6. New contributions of the thesis - Clarify the characteristic of idea, creative idea; develop the concept of the creative idea of postgraduate and point out characteristic and the rules of developing the creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate. - Assess the situation, reason, point out the effect and determine the requirement of developing the creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate. Identify the needs and propose basic solutions for developing the creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate today. 7. Theoretical, practical significances of the thesis * Theoretical significance: The thesis contributes to clarify some basic theoretical issues on developing the creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate today. * Practical significance: The findings of the thesis provide a scientific basis for implementing solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of developing " the creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate today. Thereby, provide the scientific foundation in training management, research and teaching at the academies, military schools. 8. Structure of the thesis Include introduction, overview of research issues, three chapters (7 periods), conclusions, list of scientific works of the author related to the thesis, list of references and appendices . 5 OVERVIEW OF RESEARCH ISSUES 1. In the above scientific works, the authors have made important contributions when studying issues of idea and human creative idea in all fields in social life. They analyse the idea and explain the methods of emerging new ideas and become more rational and more effective in life; The authors also point out how to create ideas and some strategies of creative thinking on the basis of the strategy arising ideas. According to the authors if we want to develop the idea, we need to practice thinking, take the observation, imagine, create wisdom, sensitivity of the nervous system. We often record, graphics to record all thoughts, learn to generalize ideas, discard old perceptions, reach to new ways of cognitive, creative suit modern life. 2.The typical scientific works researching the development of creative ideas in Vietnam The Central Board compiled national curriculum with “Marxism - Leninism Textbook”; the reserchers of with the work "Thinking of modern development: Some problems of theory and practice"; the 6 work “Labour force and knowledge economy” by Vu Dinh Cu and Tran Xuan Sam as co-editors; Phan Dung with his book “Creativity and Innovation” (included 7 works): “The methodology of creativity and Innovation”, "The world inside the creative man", "Logical thinking, dialectical and System", "The tips (principle) of creativity part 1", " The tips (principle) of creativity part 2", "The creative methods","The rules of system development - The rules of creativity and innovation”; Nguyen Dinh Gam with the article: "Creativity - the first personality qualities of human beings in modern society"; The two authors Thai Ninh and Viet Phuong as co-editors with the work: "IQ - EQ foundation of success"; Le Van Quang with the work "Development of intelligence and capability of scientific creativity in postgraduate training." Hoang Chi Bao - Chief editor with the work "Democracy in researching social and humanities science ", etc. In the scientific work, the authors have made important contribution to clarify the relationship between ideas and consciousness, perception, thinking and practice; to point out measures to improve the knowledge, skill, thinking method that ensuring the necessary and sufficient conditions to form creative ideas. 3. Scientific researches on the postgraduate training of the sciences in general and Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam in particular The authors Nguyen Manh Cuong and Nguyen Thi Hong Ha with "Confucianism in the Thang Long - Hanoi Imperial Citadel"; "Associating scientific research with doctoral training in postgraduate facility" is printed in the summary record of conference of Ministry of Education and Training; The Political Academy with works: "The basic problems improving the quality of postgraduate training in the military political Academy", "Postgraduate training in Military Political Academy - Achievement and Prospect"," "Postgraduate training in Military Political Academy (1986-2005) Achievements and experiences"; Le Quy Trinh with the works: “Improving the quality of creating source of master and doctorate training of social science and humanities in the Army nowadays "; “Promoting independent thinking of postgraduate in implementing doctoral thesis at the Academy of Politics nowadays”; Pham Van Son 7 with the work: "Associating scientific research with doctoral training at the Academy of Politics nowadays". In the above scientific works, the authors have clarified the perceptions, thoughts, ideas, independence and creativity of postgraduates of the military social sciences and humanities. These works also point out, the doctoral training quality, particularly the knowledge, thinking method, creativity and new contributions in science in the science works of the postgraduate not only depend on training process that greatly depend on scientific research activities. 4. General evaluation of the result of published scientific works and the research issues of the thesis Firstly, there are many concepts of ideas and creative ideas in the previous scientific works, but they have basical agreement in theory and approaching to creative ideas; dignifying knowledge, methods and skills of thinking, creativity, intelligence, attitude ... in the creation of ideas. The works only mentioned the role, methods, solutions and processes of creating ideas, hardly delve into concepts, academic. They have pointed out the method of creating the ideas and applying in practice, not clarifying its nature and its relationship with other factors. Follow us to approach the creative idea comprehensively and insightfull, we need to respect the intellectual facularties, thinking, novelty, usefulness, scientific and unique. We need to clarify the relationship of idea and consciousness, awareness, creative thinking, scientific thinking and practice; characteristics, structure system and trends of the components of creative ideas. From there, find out the basis to study the concept of creative ideas of military social science and humanities postgraduate and point out its characteristics; making comparisons to distinguish between creative ideas of postgraduate of military social sciences and humanities with the creative ideas of military postgraduate in other disciplines and point out the usefulness and application of the thesis for army and life. Second, creative ideas have been researched by many scientists all the world, in fact, and applied in the sciences and other fields of social life. And in Vietnam reseaches of idea initially have become markedly effective, but mainly are applied in some fields of sciences that we call creative science or scientific creativity, science of creative innovation. We have established research centers, club and 8 websites of creative science, “one idea for everyday” program showed on TV and many books, magazines about idea are published. With the Party and State encouragment in this field, many companies, social - economical organizations have hold contests of creative ideas in many fields and has attracted many forces. However, the mention of the idea and the intensive studies on creative idea in Vietnam are mainly applied researches, the basic research has not been properly respected and also has left open. Therefore, the study of creative ideas, finding solutions to develop creative ideas for society, especially for the staff of scientific researchers, teachers, education – training managers is essential. The scientific works are published primarily on creative thinking, capacity, creative promotion ... However, there is no scientific works directly studying the creative ideas of learner (training object) in the doctoral training facility of military academies. So, the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate nowadays is the first work that researches the basic theory of creative idea and development of creative idea of particular object is the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate. Third, developing creative idea of postgraduate students of military social sciences and humanities is both purposeful activity, cognitive activity and proactive activity of the subject to the reality in which contained development itself of the postgraduate when make new theoretical contributions. On the basis of a correct understanding of the objective laws of developing movement, the subject has the appropriate impact to promote the development of creative ideas of postgraduate of military social sciences and humanities, in response to the practical demands of radical, comprehensive innovation of doctoral training and scientific research in the new situation. Fourth, the reality of doctoral training of military social sciences and humanities, there are some of the science works of fellows having no new contributions, lacking of practicalness and usefulness; duplicate expression, interference, plagiarism… From this, in the process of work, study, research the author always pay more attention to find the solution in order to improve the management of postgraduate training quality. 9 Chapter 1 THE THEORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE IDEA OF THE MILITARY SCIENCES AND HUMANITITES POSTGRADUATE NOWADAYS 1.1. The creative idea and the nature of developing of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate 1.1.1. The concept of the creative idea and characteristic of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate * The concept of the creative idea In philosophy, the idea is expressed, used in some concepts which is known as the image and symbol of the spirit. Generally, the idea is mentioned as the representative image or the image of some things, phenomena, or in other contexts, the idea is seen as the concept, though abstract concepts do not necessarily appear as images. The idea is thought that arise in the human mind; these thoughts can not only be shaped correctly, completely or unclearly but also have full of structure and content as well as the its experience in reality. Or more specifically, the idea is the result of the thinking process in language and is images inside or sequence of reasons, thinking..etc. That means the thinking is clearly conscious or it flashes in the thinking process or a sequence of activities in the specific circumstances. Ideas also known as conception, opinion, thoughts, attitudes, actions, solutions and they are fueled by inspiration, creative aspirations with special emotion to create trends and the ability that inspire and develop creative activities. It is a product that is drawn from the thinking process of human life. With such approach, we can come to a concept that, creative idea is the discovery of human, reflected in the change, "breaking rule” - rulable way in the thinking process, meeting the objective requiment of the new of the society in practice. Or creative ideas reflect the results of the thinking process to appear discovery (invention) that creates new valuable products both material and spiritual to meet the need of human life in society. From the concept above shows, the standard of all creative ideas revealed in the following aspects: novelty, is understood as the embodiment, combination, integration of knowledge and knowledge 10 from the start to the end of the idea that expressed pioneer, unrepeat, surpassing the old framework and order. Along with the usefulness, creative ideas are always associated with creative activities to make new products, which reflect objectively new situations, new quality and new purpose. Creative ideas in any fields in the social life always make the new, the unique, and getting benefit for the development of human society. Besides the unique is an indispensable attribute of creative ideas. That is, the ability create entirely new ideas which differ with the previous ideas. Since emitting idea (see the problem) and how to implement those ideas (the settlement, implementation problems) have dramatically different to normal and tend to avoid repeating old solution offered in disbelief. The smoothness is one of typical and creative attributes, of course. That is the speed of making interpretation that is oriented by thinking. The whole process of emerging to execute ideas always obeys the laws and rules of thinking. In the process, we have to find the same characteristic in different ones (toward the universal and rules); pointed out the differences in similar ones (finding the particular, unique, new ones), and the smoothness is a measure of creative ideas. One of the important features of creative ideas is the systematic characteristic. Any ideas are born that included many factors . There is the interaction inside and outside between them that to create unified form. This is the specific characteristic and the guaranteed method to arise and concretize idea. It also shows the targeted, multi-dimensional and comply with controling rule, organizing methods in the specific circumstances, conditions, space, time. In addition, creative ideas have attributes of flexibility, dispersion, linking, evocation and imagination that expresses the ways of thinking, permutation, transformation. * Characteristics of creative ideas of social sciences and humanities postgraduate The postgraduates of social sciences and military humanities have the same characteristics as postgraduates of other fields. Due to the nature of particular activities and requirements for doctoral training quality of social sciences and military humanities, it has its own 11 characteristics which is different from the postgraduates of social sciences and humanities. The difference are showed as: The postgraduates of social sciences and military humanities are military officers who are studying to become teachers, scientists, experts of teaching, researching, organizing to research social sciences and humanities in the military field. They also take part in political theory struggle positively and effectively to contribute to the protection and development of Marxism - Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and Vietnam’s Party guidelines. Moreover, the field of doctoral training is sciences of social and military humanity, a special theory of sciences of social and humanities that focus on the political- social aspect and researches on humans, the human relationship in the army; relation between people with military technical equipment and military environments. From the explanation of ideas, creative ideas in general along with the characteristics of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities, it is possible to come to the concept that: The creative idea of postgraduate of social sciences and humanities reflected the result of the thinking process with the general knowledge toward the discoveries that have theoretical and practical value to implement effectively the requirements and tasks of postgraduate in training and scientific research. From the concept shows creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities are expressed through the following aspects: First, the creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities is the new theme with relatively determined scale that show political view and military humanism. They always reflect objective reality of military operations. Second, the creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities are formed inwards and reflect independently creative thinking. Third, the creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities is thinking image of people who are studying to become teachers, scientists. 1.1.2. The nature of the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate 12 From the study of ideas and creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities and based on the perspective of the dialectical materialism of the development. The author introduces the concept that: The development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate is an interactive process of subjects in order to arouse, shape and perfect the ideas of postgraduate; solving creatively the objectives and requirements of doctoral training of social sciences and military humanities. From the concept shows the nature of the process of the development of creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities are expressed through the following aspects: First, developing creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities is an interaction of subjects during training course. Second, developing creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities is the process of intergrating and transforming knowledge of learners meanwhile the learners find new ideas to implement training tasks and scientific research. Third, developing creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities is to find and resolve questions and conflicts in learning and researching which creating a motivation to promote the ability of creative thinking of postgraduates. Fourth, developing creative ideas of postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities is the process of filtering out of the old, outdated, irrelevant and inheriting, renewing, exploring and finding new knowledge, new ideas. The basis for assessing the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate relies on the interaction between subjects in the formulation and implementation of basic factors (target, selection, programm, method, evaluation of learning activities and research), building the environment and the ensuring conditions for developing creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate in the right direction. 1.2. The regularity of the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate 13 1.2.1. The unity of factors in orientation of the development of creative ideas of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate From political direction and stature, the development of creative ideas of fellows depends on the training process, especially from the dominant of the military practice characteristics, the process of doctoral training of social sciences and humanities is often introverted, promoting independence and sovereignty, using of internal resources to design, organize training, including: objective, program, training methods, testing and assessment of study and research... All these factors create their own cachet in the creative ideas of postgraduates. The preeminent of this tendency is to mobilize local resources and capabilities, forte, strength in finding data sources and available information as well as taking theoretical knowledge, experience prop for the development. Nowadays, the extraversion is the general trend and it becomes urgent need to strengthen and further improve the quality of doctoral training of social sciences and humanities. The military training facilities have more exchange and connection with other universities and institutes and use more and more faculty and scientific guidance from there. Thereby, postgraduate have more information sources and new suggetions to definite and implement their creative ideas. 1.2.2. The unity between training and scientific research defines the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate The unity between scientific research with doctoral training is expressed through different activities, but the most directly is the development of creative ideas of postgraduates. It is reflected on selecting the theme of the thesis, instructors for postgraduates; writting essays and taking part in seminars, academic activities, scientific conferences; collecting data to write proposals, thesis overview, submit the dissertation, making report of the results of research, taking part in researching subjects at all levels, writing books, teaching materials, etc.. 14 1.2.3. The unity between objective conditions and subjective factors motivates the development of creative idea of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate This is a regularity problem that reflects the dialectical process of forming unique and distinctive in creative ideas in the postgraduate of social sciences and military humanities. The objective condition is overall the factors that make the reality situation such as training environment, contemporary researches, policy mechanisms, infrastructure, etc…These factors greatly dominant to the process of defining and solving the development of creative ideas of postgraduate. The subjective factor is essentially the role of the subject as well as an the dynamism and creativity of the postgraduates in the transformation, renovation and adaptation to objective conditions through the practice of military activities, learning activities and scientific research that contributes to increase the development of their creative ideas. The role of the subjective factor of postgraduates is increasing as they proactively detect and base on objective conditions to organize, promote the formation, nourishing, perfecting their ideas and reflect its necessary of movement and development. All activities of the postgraduates come from practice, on the basis of respect for objective and subjective dynamic promotion of the subject, against passive, waiting, succumbing to reality. The role of the subjective factor of postgraduate is not the promotion of developing capabilities but it is based on their needs to select and impact to the one or some suitable abilities for the process of their development of creative ideas to become a reality in the certain process. Conclusion of chapter 1 In Chapter 1, the thesis clarify the concept of ideas, creative ideas in general, and then to generalize, analyze the concept of creative ideas and the nature of the development creative ideas of the social sciences and military humanities postgraduate in particular. At the same time, the thesis indicates the regularity of the development creative ideas of the social sciences and military humanities postgraduate in the typical conditions of learners of social sciences and military humanities. 15 Chapter 2 ACTUAL SITUATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE IDEAS OF THE MILITARY SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES POSTGRADUATE TODAY 2.1. Actual situation and causes of the development of creative ideas of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate today 2.1.1. Actual situation of the development of creative ideas of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate today * Survey, assess the interaction between subjects through the development and implementation of ensuring factors for the process of the development of creative ideas of social sciences and military humanities postgraduates. The training goals and models for the development of creative ideas of social sciences and military humanities postgraduates Development subjects are aware of and adhere to the doctoral training goals, models and requirements oof social sciences and humanities military. The survey data shows that postgraduates are aware of training goal and requirements, ability of orientation in training and research. At the outset, the postgraduates proactively approach to doctoral training objective of social sciences and military humanities and they have also identified that they have to dedicate during the training course with new ideas that are concretized in scientific work. However, at the present the development of creative ideas of postgraduates have not met the determined training objectives and mission and requirements building Vietnam People's Army politically; capacity and sensitiveness before the evolution of the situation; the possibility of transmitting, reforming and developing new theories in inadequate conditions. Building the postgraduates’ sources, selection, preparation of scientific ideas of postgraduates. Building the postgraduates’ sources is a special and meaningful activity that preparing the conditions for the development of creative ideas of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate after they enroll the doctoral training course. The preparing classes for the doctoral training course are organized 16 seriously that focuses on some content of examination, particularly helps candidates prepare their researches. During the selection process, the postgraduates obey ensure regulations and procedures properly. Especially, the entrance examining council focuses on the research outline, essays and scientific articles. After the reports of postgraduates, the council also ask them to clarify the new, creative ideas with scientific value, feasibility as well as the level of knowledge, thinking, ability and research orientation in the future of fellows. Overall, the building the postgraduates’ sources and selection process of postgraduates of social science and military humanities has achieved some results, but there are still many gaps in awareness and activities of the subjects. Contents of the training program for the development of creative ideas of the military social sciences and humanities postgraduate Every year, there are the review, adjustment and supplement, update the structure of the program to ensure the balance and updates, improve thinking, fighting nature, self-education, self-learning, selfresearching; promoting practical capability, develop creatively independent thinking of fellows. Accordingly, the conditions are created to help students complete their study, improve general knowledge, their professional knowledge and other interdisciplinary knowledge as well as independent research ability, discovering new ideas; independently solve problems in learning, scientific research in a creative way.
