Hone and Family There are six people in my family: my parents, my older sister, my younger brother, my husband and me. My father is seventy four and he is retired. My mother likes listening to classic music. She usually gives us some useful advices when we problems. My sister is 30. She is a teacher in Chu Van An School in Hanoi. Tell me about your home My house has ten rooms : one living room, one kitchen, one bathroom, two toilet and five bedrooms. In the kitchen room, there are a refrigerator, aceiling fan, a big table and chairs. In the living room, there are a sofe, a arm chairs and a television. And in the second floor, there are my parents’ room, my older sister’s room. Finally in the third floor, there are my younger brother’s room and our room.. We usually meet together in the kitchen for lunch and especially for dinner. We often talk about everything : the work, the study, news, shopping, etc after dinner. Then, my parents and younger brother lying on sofa watch news on TV. My older sisters, and I do housework, then we get in our room read books or watch TV in the living room. My house is small and rather old, it was built about twenty years ago. But I love it very much. There I have a lot of wonderful memories. I think it is a part of my life. Tell me about your ideal home At first when I thought of purchasing a house, I wanted one that was neither too far nor too near a town. If it was too far, I may feel lonely and then, there was the question of transport. Finally, I chose an elevated, land enabling easy drainage and firm. The site is spacious allowing ground for the house and a decent big garden. I wanted an elegant look for the house I intended to build. The house has four rooms with a well-furnished kitchen and modern bathroom facilities. The living rooms are comfortable. The furniture has been 2 chosen with great care. The walls have been painted with soft colors to match the curtains, the materials of which had been bought from the best textile manufacturing company. Each room is fitted with a radio so that one can enjoy programs from the bed. The drawing room is elegantly furnished with sofas, chairs and a central table. The walls are lined with built-in cupboards, a library to house well-chosen volumes by master novelists. There is a niche for the television and the room can be used for viewing programs. All the rooms are airy and airconditioned. The kitchen is beautifully done up. It is fitted with electric grills and things can be stacked neatly away in specially designed cabinets. It is provided with modern gadgets for grinding, pulverizing or cutting. In front of the house there is an artificial pool with a fountain spray. One or two fish tanks are kept in the big porch to add the beauty of the place. There is also a small playground for my children with a swing. Thus I am surrounded by beauty and peace. How have your parent influenced your choices throughout your life? My parent is civil servant, now they are retired. So they want to be civil servant. So I am researcher in marine institute, my older sister is a teacher of high school. Who is the closest person to you in your family? My husband, you and my husband feel comfortable any talk related money, relationship and our job. Who has been the biggest influence in your life? There are many people in traditional family like as grandfather, parent, one or two couple, many children. There are 3 or 4 people in modern family. People living in traditional family like eating together as big party. Member living in modern family always go to restaurant at weekend. What do you think about the sayings “Men make houses, women make home?” I agree with that saysings. The men strive for jod, make money to built house. The women take care of our family like cooking, our children, clean the house. 3 What do you like to do with your family? I like go to fishing with my family. We catch some fish and have a small party with our friend. People and Places How would you describe yourself? I am researcher in marine institute, I have a small car, I will hope that I complete PhD this year. I have a happy family with a son. Some friend says that I am successful man.
