English 3 Week: 8 Period: 32 Year: 2016-2017 Teacher : Tran Thi Ngoc Han LESSON PLAN REVIEW 1 I. Objectives: 1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to:  perform their abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing related to the topics from units 1-5, using the phonics, vocabulary and sentence patterns they have learnt.  identify specific information and general ideas. 2. Skills: - Develop Ss speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. 3. Language focus: - Sentence Partners: Revisions all structures from unit 1 to unit 5. - Vocabulary: Revisions all vocabulary they have learnt. II. Teaching aids: 1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette, projector. 2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Teaching processes: 1. Class organization: - Greeting - Checking for the students' attendance. 2. Oral test: -Ask Ss to write the old words on the board and remember the structures. 3. New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities I.Warm up : -Ask Ss to write the old words on the board -Ask Ss to remember the structures from unit 1 to unit 5. -Teacher walks around the class and ask Ss some questions related to the sentence patterns they have learnt. -Write the old words on the board -Remember the structures from unit 1 to unit 5. -Answer teacher’s questions related to the sentence patterns they have learnt. II. Content 1. Listen and tick -Ask pupils to look at pictures at page 36 of the Student Book. Elicit the identification of the characters in the pictures and the characters’ words. -Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures a or b they hear. Before listening, teacher asks students to guess the answers. - Play the recording 2 times. -Ask Students to compare the answers with their partner. - Play the recording again and asks students to give the answers. -Check their prediction. -Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. Answer: 1 – b; 2 – a; 3 – a; 4 – b; 5- b 2. Listen and number -Ask pupils to look at pictures a, b, c and d at page 36 of the Student Book. The others listen and give comments. - Give some questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the reading text. -Teacher gives the answers : Answers: 1. Hello 2. name 3. friends 4. nine - Have the whole class read each line of the dialogues chorally to reinforce their pronunciation. 4. Read and match. -Teacher asks pupils to look at exercise 4 at page 37 of the Student Book. -Ask Ss to remember the structures related this exercise. -Teacher tells Ss that they are going to read the questions to get the information in order to match the answers. -Ask Ss to read the sentences individually and do the task (match each question with an appropriate answer.) -Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary. -Ask students to trade their answers within pairs for correction. -Ask some students to read the answers aloud -Look at exercise 3 at page 37 and identify the structures in the dialogue. -Give the meaning of the words in the box. -Read and complete the dialogue. -Compare the answers with their partner. -Give the correct answers for the teacher. -The others listen and give comments. -Read the dialogue chorally aloud. -Look at exercise 4 at page 37. -Remember the structures related this exercise. -Work in individual. -Compare the answers with their partner. -Give the answers for the teacher. to the class. Mai: Yes,___________. -Have students work in pairs to look and say. -Teacher asks students to display in front of the class, others comment. -Listen and correct. -Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation. III.Consolidation -Ask students to focus on the structures again. -Summary the lesson.
