Aims: Help ss to revise present simple tenses which they learnt Do some exercises with them. *Aims:- Help ss to revise present simple tense which they learnt *Objectives :By the end of the lesson, Ss can know the simple tense and do some exercises with them. *Ways of working:T-Whole class , pair work ,individually. * Teaching aids: Sts' and teacher's book, poster. *Anti ciples: PROCEDURE 1. Class organization 2. Warm up: I. The Present Simple Tense: 1. Form: To be - Affirmative: S + V/Vs/Ves…. S + am/is/are…… - Negative: S + do/does + not + V….. S + am/is/are + not….. - Interrogative: Do/Does + S + V….? Am/Is/Are + S ….? 2. Use: a. Diễn tả một hành động hoặc một thói quen hằng ngày (always, usually, often, sometimes, occasionally, seldom, rarely, every…….) Ex: I usually go to school in the afternoon. b. The Present Progressive Tense - T ask Ss to re- tell structures of present progressive tense - Usages: diển tả hành động đang xảy ra ngay khi ta nói. Form : a. S + is / am / are + V-ing ………. b. S + is / am / are + not + V-ing …… c. Is / Am / Are + S + V-ing ….? Yes, S + be . / No, S + be + not d. Wh + be + S + V-ing …? -> S + be + V-ing…….. -> Present Participle(V-ing) hiện tại phân từ , được thành lập bằng cách thêm –ing vào sau động từ nguyên thể của động từ. Notes: - Có một số động từ tận cùng bằng chữ e câm: ta phải bỏ chữ e rồi mới thêm ing vào sau động từ. write – writing, ride – riding , drive - driving…. - Những động từ có một âm nguyên âm duy nhất đứng giữa hai phụ âm ta phải gấp đôi phụ âm cuối rồi mới thêm ing:run – running, swim - swimming, get - getting EX: I am riding a bike.
