Thể so sánh: a) So sánh hơn (comparative): * Tính từ ngắn: Ex: - She is thinner than me. (I am) - This box is bigger than that one. Các thì (tenses): a) Thì hiện tại đơn (simple present tense): * Khẳng định (positive form) Ex: - I go to school every morning. - She gets up at 6 o'clock. Then she has breakfast at 6.30 and goes to school at 6.40. * Phuû ñònh (negative form): Ex: - She isn't at home. - Lan doesn't like milk. * Nghi vấn (interrogative form) - Is she at home? - Does Lan like milk? - Can you swim? b) Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (present progressive tense): * Khẳng định: S + am / is / are + V-ing... Ex: - We are going to the zoo at the moment. * Phủ định: S + am / is / are + not + V-ing... Ex: - We are not going to the zoo at the moment. * Nghi vấn: Am / Is / Are + S + V-ing ...? Ex: - Are they singing now? c) Thì tương lai đơn (simple future tense): * Khẳng định: S + will / shall + V (infinitive)... Ex: - I will (shall) do a test tomorrow. She will eat first.
